I had enough people ask, so here are the due dates for your research paper:
March 2: Proposal
March 18: Notecards
March 25: Outline and Opening Paragraph
April 1: Rough Draft (at least four pages)
April 10*: Final Draft
*Note: Since we now have class on April 10, I will move the due date to 12:00 noon on Friday, April 10. Papers submitted at 12:01 will not be graded.

how detailed do we have to make the outline?
Look at the outline suggestions at Purdue: http://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/544/01/
If you download the PDF where it says "Types of Outlines and Samples," you'll get a good idea of how to detail.
Obviously, the further you go into detail now, the less typing you will have to do for your first draft.
